HELLO STRANGER: Class 320 311 is seen sitting inside platform 3 at Glasgow Central High Level prior to working the slightly late running 10.12 5Z02 Glasgow Central High Level - Lanark via Motherwell and Shieldmuir ScotRail route clearance train. The train was being sent around various and unusual locations where the Class 320 E.M.U. fleet are rarely or not ever visited in order for the 22 3 - car sets to be passed out - clearance for the routes. The train left from Yoker C.S.D. and visited locations via Lanark, Larkhall, Carstairs and Coatbridge Central. The Class 320 fleet will be working on the Argyle Line from December this year (2010) serving destinations like Motherwell, Lanark and Larkhall (some of the locations this set visited today). 31/01/10. | January, February & March 2010 Railway Photography | (12) |

A photograph taken from inside the site of the new £6 million Bathgate L.M.D. (Light Maintenance Depot) looking east towards Livingston. The L.M.D. consists of an administration / staff building, staff carpark, train washing facilities and four island platforms which will hold a minimal amount of eight trains (two at either side of each platform). The depot will be used for the cleaning of and overnight stabling for trains. Work still continues on building road access into the depot and new carpark at present with very little work left to be done inside. All track has been laid at either side of the four island platforms as well as the erection of overhead electrication portals and related equipment. The new Bathgate L.M.D. has been built by C. My younger brother Kris is in the middle of training at the moment in the army town of Cattrick near York in orderto be an infantry soldier. When passed out he will be joining infantry forces around the world patrolling the unsafe locations, some locations a lot more unsafe others. On Saturday 22nd August 2009 myself, mother and step - father went down to the army training centre in Cattrick to visit Kris for the weekend as it was a weekend Kris could send time with his family after his first four weeks of training. He is working hard and enjoying his time down here and is wanting to be a soldier no matter what. He is seen here briefing families through on how a soldier would / will survive in the warzone particularly when out in fields, deserts etc. Myself and I think every other person that listened to Kris' presentation were impressed with the presentation. 22/08/09. | 2009 Family Photographs | (5) |

Hello and welcome to my railway and freelance photography website which contains over 5,800 photographs taken from various locations around the United Kingdom, particularly Scotland. I also have a numerous number of photographs from Canada which I had taken in 2007 during the few times I went to visit some of my family who live in the state of Ontario. I plan on travelling in the future to various locations around the world so expect to see a varied collection of travel photographs.
I am a semi - professional railway and freelance photographer. I have been interested in photography from the age of 15 and onwards and have taken an interest in the subject greatly. I have always had an interest in railways since a young age. My railway photography involves covering various projects within the railway environment and I also take a keen interest in the railway as an industry, particularly within Scotland and throughout the UK when I can. There is so much more to the railway than the trains that run on the rails and I want so show and capture all of the different aspects the railway environment with the camera to show viewers just how much work and effort is put into the running of the railways in Britain.
I have been studying photography for five years now (three years in depth) and will continue to do so. I feel myself and every other photographer will learn something everyday when doing photography because there is so much to learn about the subject in all aspects.
I first properly studied photography at Glasgow's Metropolitan College (60 North Hanover St) from 3rd September 2007 to 16th May 2008 and gained an NQ certificate in the subject. Since leaving college, I have become a freelance photographer. Since then I have covered many different aspects of photography for both my own interest and also for commercial use. As well as the railway environment, I also take a keen interest in wildlife, including close ups of flowers and insects, landscapes (in all weather conditions), architectural, pattern, shape, street and many other photography subjects.
I have carried out a lot commercial photography work for different kinds of magazines including railway industrial magazines which include Modern Railways, Rail, Today's Railways and many more titles including Railtalk which is an online railway magazine for which I am Scotland's railway correspondent and have also wrote articles to go with my photography for the magazine.
On top of my commercial work within the railway environment, I have also done work for the press office at SPT (Strathclyde Passenger Transport) by visiting their Glasgow Subway train depot at Broomloan Road in Govan and also taking photographs around the small but unique Glasgow Subway network.
For those interested, I am available to cover many functions including:
* Weddings
* Christenings
* Music venues (including bands playing concerts)
* Family events
