3	16.JPG	The many cuttings and tunnels which serve the branch line are clearly eveident in this photograph which was taken looking out onto the platforms at Gallowgate Central station which are both still in tact and in great condition. The photograph was taken from inside the western portal of Bridgeton Central Tunnel looking west. Notice the twin bore Gallowgate Central Tunnels which can be seen far away in the foreground. The tunnel to the left took trains to St. Enoch station from 1893 when the tunnel (which was a spur) opened until an early closure in 1913 as the spur line was not a success. The tunnel to the right was the High Street Branch which took trains from Gallowgate Central station to the former Bridgeton Cross North Junction (now lifted) and onto the present and still in use High Street station which is a station served on the North Clyde Electric line. 27/06/09. About Me

Hello to everyone looking at my railway and freelance photography website. My name is Jonathan McGurk. I'm 19 years of age and at the moment I am a freelance photographer. I specialise in the railway industry and try the best I can to capture the 'railway industry' with the camera. I like doing landscape, wildlife, close up and most kind of photography also. I have a varied selection of photographs on my website that date back to 2006 onwards. I am in the middle of adding photographs from 2006 and 2007 onto my website, both railway and non - railway related. At the moment I currently have over 7,300 images on the website which will keep on growing over the coming years. I hope to get everything from 2006 / 2007 added by the end of the year which should give me enough time. I have taken an interest in photography since 2005 and my interest really majorly developed in 2006 when I knew I had a real love for phtoography. I like what I do and I am always happy to help others with tips and guidlines advice etc. I learn something new everyday myself and I always go out everyday and try and take photographs even for experimental use. I studied photography for a year (a year in terms of college education) at the Metropolitan College in Glasgow from September 2007 - May 2008. Since then I have been out learning for myself with the experience from college I had learned also. I do not use any photo editing software for manipulating any photgraphy I do e.g. Adobe Photoshop because I believe that photographs can be taken the way you are wanting them to be taken and look without having to rely on such software. This is only my opinion. All of my photographs are compressed and are in low resolution for copyright purposes but are in a good viewing size. Also, all of my photographs are available for personal and commercial use.
